    1. No, you cannot take the Post-UTME exam the same day after conversion. Here’s why:

      1. Processing time: After conversion, your new details need to be processed and updated in the system, which takes some time.
      2. Registration requirements: You’ll need to complete Post-UTME registration, which includes uploading documents, paying fees, and completing other requirements.
      3. Exam scheduling: Post-UTME exams are usually scheduled in advance, and you’ll need to select a date and time that suits you.

Typically, you should allow at least 24-48 hours after conversion to complete Post-UTME registration and scheduling. However, this may vary depending on the institution and their specific requirements.

It’s best to check with the institution’s admissions office or website for specific guidelines on Post-UTME registration and scheduling after conversion.

  3. Semilogo Afolabi

Please sir/ma, I have my NCE results but have never taken JAMB before. If I take JAMB next year, can I still convert it to DE that same year, or do I need to apply for the DE form directly?

    1. If you take JAMB next year and have your NCE results, you can convert your JAMB to DE that same year. This is because you already possess a qualifying certificate (NCE) that meets the DE requirements. After taking JAMB, you can initiate the conversion process by:

      1. Logging in to your JAMB profile
      2. Clicking on “UTME to DE”
      3. Uploading your NCE certificate
      4. Paying the conversion fee

However, if you don’t want to take JAMB, you can apply for the DE form directly, as your NCE certificate already qualifies you for DE admission. In this case, you’ll need to:

      1. Check the DE admission requirements for your desired institution
      2. Obtain the DE application form
      3. Submit your NCE certificate and other required documents

Choose the path that best suits your goals and preferences!

      1. Semilogo Afolabi

So if I go for DE straight, will I be eligible for NYSC mobilization perhaps with my DE registration, I don’t know.

Ps. I haven’t done JAMB before.

        Thanks for your response.

    1. The deadline for converting UTME to Direct Entry varies each year, and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) typically announces the specific deadline and requirements on their website. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact deadline for this year, but I recommend checking the JAMB website or contacting your desired university for the latest information.

  4. I converted my JAMB registration from UTME to Direct Entry, but when I tried to apply for Direct Entry to my chosen school, I received an error message stating that my registration number is not among those who applied for Direct Entry. What should I do?

    1. If you encounter this issue, here are some steps to take:

      1. Check your JAMB profile: Ensure that your conversion from UTME to Direct Entry was successful and reflected in your JAMB profile.
      2. Verify your registration number: Double-check that you entered the correct registration number during the Direct Entry application process.

      4. Check with the school: Contact the admissions office of your chosen school to confirm if they have received your Direct Entry application and to ask for guidance on the next steps.
      5. Reapply if necessary: If the issue persists, you may need to reapply for Direct Entry, ensuring that your registration number is correctly entered and your conversion is verified.

Remember to stay calm and patient, and don’t hesitate to seek help from JAMB or the school’s admissions office.

  5. I’m yet to do my conversion due to the course I did in my NCE(primary education Double major)…. I wasn’t able to do my conversion because of the double major
But my school post utme has closed since last week…. Pls what can I do?

    1. I understand your concern. Since your school’s post-UTME registration has closed, here are some steps you can take:

      1. Contact your school’s admissions office: Explain your situation and ask if they can consider your case or provide an extension for the post-UTME registration.
      2. JAMB’s DE conversion: Complete your DE conversion as soon as possible, even if your school’s post-UTME registration has closed. This will ensure you have a valid DE registration number.
      3. Waitlist or supplementary admission: If your school’s post-UTME registration is closed, ask if they have a waitlist or supplementary admission process. You might be considered for admission if spaces become available.
      4. Consider other schools: If your school cannot accommodate you, research other institutions that offer your desired course and still have open post-UTME registrations. You can apply to these schools using your DE registration number.
      5. JAMB’s support: If you’re facing challenges with your DE conversion or need guidance, contact JAMB’s support or visit a JAMB office for assistance.

Remember to stay calm and persistent. Good luck, and I hope you find a solution that works for you!

    1. According to JAMB regulations, you can convert your UTME to DE before your JUPEB result is released, but you’ll need to provide a sworn affidavit or a statement of result from the institution where you took the JUPEB exam.

Here are the steps to follow:

      1. Obtain a sworn affidavit or a statement of result from your JUPEB institution, indicating that you’ve completed the program and are awaiting results.
      2. Take the affidavit or statement of result to a JAMB office or an accredited CBT center.
      3. Fill out the DE conversion form and submit it along with the affidavit or statement of result.
      4. Pay the required fee for the DE conversion.

Note that you’ll still need to provide your JUPEB result when it’s released, and ensure it meets the admission requirements for your chosen course and institution.

It’s essential to check with JAMB or your institution for specific requirements and guidelines, as procedures may vary.

    1. The deadline for converting UTME to DE was February 26, 2024. However, you can still check the JAMB website for any updates or further instructions. Please note that the deadline may have passed, but it’s always a good idea to check the official website for the latest information.

  6. Good morning sir,
I have converted my utme to DE yesterday, How long it takes for the school to upload my documents ?

    1. Good morning!

Congratulations on converting your UTME to DE!

The time it takes for the school to upload your documents varies depending on the institution and their admission processing timeline. Here are some general guidelines:

      – Some schools may upload documents within 24-48 hours after receiving them from JAMB.
      – Others may take 3-5 working days to process and upload documents.
      – In some cases, it may take up to 1-2 weeks for the school to upload documents, especially during peak admission periods.

It’s essential to note that schools have different timelines and workflows, so it’s best to:

      – Check with the school’s admissions office for their specific timeline.
      – Monitor your JAMB CAPS portal and email for updates.
      – Follow up with the school if you haven’t seen any updates after a week.

Remember, patience is key during this process. Good luck with your admission!

  7. An excellent question!

If you’ve written UTME and also obtained a JUPEB result for Direct Entry, you can gain admission to 200L without converting your UTME to DE, even after the UTME to DE conversion deadline.

    Here’s why:

    – Your JUPEB result qualifies you for Direct Entry admission, which is separate from UTME.
    – You can use your JUPEB result to apply for Direct Entry admission to 200L, bypassing the UTME to DE conversion process.
    – The UTME to DE conversion deadline only applies to those who want to convert their UTME registration to DE. Since you already have a JUPEB result, you’re not affected by this deadline.

However, ensure you meet the admission requirements for your chosen institution and course, and that your JUPEB result is accepted by the institution.

So, go ahead and explore your Direct Entry admission options with your JUPEB result!

  8. Can someone who used diploma for conversion still change it by using jamb for the conversion after using the diploma?

    1. Yes, someone who used a diploma for conversion can still change it by using JAMB for the conversion later. This process is called “change of admission type” or “conversion upgrade.”

Here’s what you need to do:

      2. Obtain a new DE form: Purchase a new DE form from JAMB or an accredited CBT center.
      3. Fill out the DE form: Complete the DE form with your updated details, including your diploma information.
      4. Submit the form: Submit the form along with the required documents, including your diploma certificate and transcript.
      5. Pay the upgrade fee: Pay the upgrade fee for changing your admission type from diploma to JAMB DE.

JAMB will process your request and update your admission type to DE. Note that this process may have a deadline, so check with JAMB or your institution for specific timelines and requirements.

Keep in mind that changing your admission type might affect your admission status or scholarship eligibility, if applicable. Always check with your institution for their policies on conversion upgrades.

Remember to check with JAMB or your institution for specific requirements and guidelines, as procedures may vary.

      4. Check the course duration: If your diploma is accepted, you may be admitted into the second year of the program, depending on the course and institution’s policies.

Some possible courses you might be eligible for with your diploma include:

      – Radiography
      – Medical Laboratory Science
      – Medical Imaging Technology
      – Health Information Management

To confirm your eligibility, I recommend:

      – Contacting FUOYE’s admissions office directly
      – Visiting FUOYE’s website for DE requirements and course information
      – Reaching out to JAMB’s support for guidance on using your diploma for DE

Stay calm, and good luck with your DE application!

    1. If you upgraded your UTME to DE on September 5th but it’s yet to reflect on your JAMB portal, follow these steps:

      1. Wait for 3-5 working days: Sometimes, it takes a few days for the upgrade to be processed and reflected on the portal.

      2. Check your email: Ensure you’ve checked your email (including spam folders) for any updates or confirmation from JAMB.

      3. Contact JAMB support: Reach out to JAMB’s customer support via phone, email, or their official website. Explain your situation and provide your upgrade details.

      4. Visit a JAMB office: If the issue persists, visit a JAMB office in person. They can help resolve the delay and update your portal.

      5. Verify your upgrade details: Double-check that your upgrade application was successful and your details are updated in the JAMB system.

Some possible reasons for the delay include:

      – Technical issues
      – High volume of upgrade applications
      – Verification process

To avoid any further delays, ensure you:

      – Keep your upgrade receipt and details handy
      – Follow up with JAMB support regularly
      – Check your portal frequently for updates

Remember to stay calm and patient. If you’re still unsure, consider:

      – Contacting JAMB’s support hotline: 08070629736 or 08081290735
      – Reaching out to a JAMB office near you

Good luck, and I hope your DE upgrade is reflected on your portal soon!

Hello sir, I missed my utme of 2024, and I did jupeb Program in one of the Federal University, i want to upload my O’level results on jamb portal, according to the university and September 9th is deadline. I went I got to the cbt center, the caps direct said am not eligible to the cap for upload. What can I do, can I do conversion since I sat for jupeb 2024 exams. And waiting for the results. Can I do the conversion now sir.

    1. If you missed the 2024 UTME, you can still be eligible for the Direct Entry (DE) process, but you’ll need to meet specific requirements.

Since you can’t obtain two forms at the same time, you can use your UTME registration slip from a previous year (2023 or earlier) for the DE process, but it depends on the institution’s policy.

      Here are some possible scenarios:

      1. Some institutions accept UTME results from previous years (up to 3-5 years) for DE admission.
      2. Other institutions might require you to use the current year’s UTME registration slip, even if you didn’t take the exam.

      To clarify, you should:

      1. Check the University’s website or contact their admissions office to confirm their DE admission policy and UTME result acceptance period.
      2. Verify if they accept UTME results from previous years or require the current year’s registration slip.
      3. If the University accepts previous years’ UTME results, ensure your registration slip is still valid and meets their requirements.

Additionally, you’ll need to meet the institution’s DE eligibility criteria, which typically includes:

      – Having a minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma (ND) or Merit in Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE)
      – Scoring a minimum of 160 in the UTME (if the institution requires it)
      – Meeting the O’Level requirements for the chosen course

To proceed with the DE process, you’ll need to:

      1. Obtain a DE form from JAMB or an accredited CBT center.
      2. Fill out the DE form with your updated details, including your UTME registration slip number (if applicable).
      3. Submit the form along with the required documents, including your O’Level results and ND/NCE certificate (if applicable).
      4. Pay the required fee for the DE process.

It’s essential to note that some institutions might have specific rules or restrictions for DE candidates, so it’s crucial to verify the University’s policies before applying.

To avoid any issues, I recommend:

      – Contacting JAMB’s support or visiting a JAMB office for guidance.
      – Reaching out to the University’s admissions office to confirm their DE admission procedures.

Stay calm, and good luck with your DE application!

  12. i converted my jamb results to direct entry 1 week ago, but i haven’t gone to the school for postutme why because i check my jamb caps is not showing my A level results, can i still proceed with postutme?

    1. If you’ve converted your JAMB results to Direct Entry (DE) but haven’t seen your A-level results on JAMB CAPS, you can still proceed with the Post-UTME process. However, you’ll need to take some steps:

      1. Check with JAMB: Ensure that your A-level results have been uploaded to the JAMB portal. You can contact JAMB’s support or visit a JAMB office to confirm.
      2. Verify with your institution: Reach out to the admissions office of your chosen institution to confirm their Post-UTME requirements and procedures for DE candidates. They may have specific guidelines for candidates with A-level results.
      3. Upload A-level results (if necessary): If your A-level results aren’t on JAMB CAPS, you might need to upload them directly to the institution’s portal or provide them during the Post-UTME registration process.
      4. Proceed with Post-UTME registration: Once you’ve clarified the above steps, you can proceed with the Post-UTME registration process. Ensure you have all required documents, including your DE registration slip and A-level results (if applicable).

To avoid any issues, consider the following:

      – Check the institution’s Post-UTME deadline and ensure you register on time.
      – Verify the institution’s DE admission requirements and procedures.
      – Keep your A-level results and DE registration slip handy during the Post-UTME process.

If you’re still unsure, I recommend:

      – Contacting the institution’s admissions office for guidance.
      – Reaching out to JAMB’s support for assistance with uploading your A-level results.

Stay calm, and good luck with your Post-UTME!

Good afternoon sir, thanks for your good response yesterday. I have been to Jamb office in ikoyi today, I was told to raised ticket for my complaint which I did successfully. It may be thru the utme I missed. And I sat for jupeb hope to convert when the results is our sir. Thanks for your response.

  14. Shittu MuhammadTaofeeq Olamide

Hope the ticket raised will assist me also in direct entry application when it is time, since I missed 2024 utme. After my jupeb results is out sir.

  15. Good morning sir. Two days after my Utme to De conversion, but when I went for online registration in the portal it’s showing me that I should use 2024 Utme or de slip so I was unable to make online registration

  16. Good morning Admin.
I’m kind of confused here. I’m done with ND pharmaceutical technology program and I’m just aware yesterday that Absu accept pharm tech to pharmacy through D.E and I met up with all the requirements. I actually wrote jamb this year and I chose pharmacy at oou and the putme is this week.

I don’t know what to do if to forfeit oou and go for absu but their D.E form will be closing this week😓😓

    1. Good morning!

Thank you for sharing your concern. That’s a tough spot to be in.

Considering ABSU’s DE form closes soon, I’d recommend the following:

      1. Confirm ABSU’s DE requirements and admission process to ensure you’re eligible.
      2. Weigh the pros and cons of attending ABSU (closer to home, potentially lower fees, etc.) versus OOU.
      3. Consider reaching out to OOU’s admissions office to inquire about potential deferment or withdrawal options, in case you decide to pursue ABSU.
      4. Make a swift decision, as time is of the essence.

  17. I have ND result for paramedic and I want to apply direct entry to study community health science in nasarawa state university, I don’t know how possible it is?

And I haven’t done my conversion yet due to some delay, though it has been resolved. How long will it take for the conversion process because the post of the institution is closing on 15th of this month.

    1. Hello,

To apply for Direct Entry into Nasarawa State University’s Community Health Science program, ensure you meet JAMB’s eligibility criteria.

      1. Check JAMB’s website for DE requirements.
      2. Verify NASU’s specific requirements.
      3. Complete your conversion process ASAP.
      4. Submit your application before the deadline (15th of this month).

Contact JAMB support or NASU admissions for further guidance.”
